Jesus to John Lennon: "Yeah, It's All Good"

It took 42 years, but the Vatican is finally ready to make nice with The Beatles. In its newspaper on Sunday, the Vatican announced that it had forgiven John Lennon for a controversial interview in 1966 in which he stated that The Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ. The report more or less came down to the Vatican realizing that Lennon was coping with sudden success, and the fact that Beatles' recordings are still so ridiculously popular 40 years later (The White Album turned 40 this week) means that its time to let bygones be bygones.

Any snarky joke I'd put here would end up in bad taste somehow, I think. I'll just point out that Lennon died 28 years ago after spending his post-Beatles career campaigning for peace, and they're just NOW deciding that everything's cool.
